Job Summary:
The key purposes of this
role and respective responsibilities are the following:
ü Provide
consistency of outsourcing practice across regions, functions and suppliers
ü Ensure
effective & balanced supplier and internal relationships
ü Foundational
processes to support metric, forecasts, budgets and invoice management across
suppliers
ü Monitor
supplier performance parameters; metrics, workload forecasts, surveys,
scorecards & document management
ü Standardize
supplier processes and infrastructure to support GRAAS Governance support and
oversight
Key
Responsibilities:
ü Lead
appropriate governance structures across supplier types
vision and oversight of supplier deliverables

provide on-site subject matter expertise, guidance and direction to India-based
suppliers in real time; support training of suppliers

provide input into materials
ü Identify, resolve, track and document issues; resolve
business / financial / productivity or site operations issues with suppliers
ü Oversee the design and publishing of surveys and scorecards
as needed
ü Lead recommendations and create new processes that are
aligned to defined results
ü Implement best practices across supplier types and teams
within Amgen, monitoring of completion of work in accordance with service level
agreements (SLA’s) and contracts, and developing and implementing CAPAs.
ü Oversee financial oversight activities to include annual
budget, periodic estimates of budget, and workload estimation activities;
convert workload estimates into financial estimates
Candidate Profile:
ü BA/BS/BSc
or RN
ü 7
years work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 3
years of biopharmaceutical drug development experience (obtained working at a
biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)
ü Experience
at, or oversight of, drug development suppliers (CRO’s, central labs, imaging
suppliers, etc.)
Preferred
Qualifications:
ü M.D.,
D.O., PhD, PharmD, Master’s Degree
ü 9
years work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 6
years of biopharmaceutical drug development experience (obtained working on at
a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company)
ü Previous
management experience of direct reports, including management level
Staff Knowledge:
ü Experience
working in a global, matrix organization
ü Knowledge
of Quality Management, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations and guidelines,
and international regulatory requirements/guidelines
ü Extensive
project management/project planning experience
ü Proficiency
in anticipating and resolving problems
ü Experience
writing and presenting clearly on scientific and clinical issues
ü Experience
leading teams in a matrix environment
ü Excellent
interpersonal, organizational, supervisory skills
